This circuit board will blink the red LED with a single 1.5V AA battery, which should be impossible, but is accomplished using an astable multivibrator circuit.

This is a low voltage 1.5V astable multivibrator LED flasher circuit board assembly. It includes a red LED that is not yet attached to the circuit board but can easily be temporarily pushed into the through holes (friction fit) for testing and/or soldered into place later.
Typically, you can not flash or blink a red LED with only 1.5 volts. This printed circuit board and components overcomes this limitation with an astable multivibrator circuit.
The red LED on this configuration will flash approximately 60 times in 27 seconds.
The red LED will blink for approximately 10 months on a single fresh alkaline AA battery.

* Dimensions of the board are 14mm x 45mm. The dimension from the top of the tallest component on the board (CK 470 capacitor) to the bottom of the through-hole wires poking out of the bottom of the board is 13.5mm. The red LED bulb is 5mm diameter x 9mm tall.
