Quick Start Guide – BCP-FA20 1.5V LED Flasher Circuit Board Assembly with red LED, astable multivibrator Blinking LED

Instructions

  1. Insert the longer leg (the positive leg or “anode”) of the LED into the solder hole marked “LED+” on the circuit board.
  2. Insert the shorter leg (the negative leg or “cathode”) of the LED into the solder hole marked “LED-” on the circuit board.
  3. The LED will temporarily stay in place due to the tension and friction of the LED legs in the solder holes. Eventually, you will want to solder the LED in place or perhaps solder wires to the solder holes and connect the LED at a further distance from the circuit board.
  4. Connect a single AA 1.5V alkaline battery to the circuit board. The positive terminal of the battery should be connected to the soldering hole marked “1.5V” on the circuit board. The negative terminal of the battery should be connected to the soldering hole marked “GND” on the circuit board.
  5. The LED will now begin to flash, approximately 60 times in 27 seconds, or very roughly twice per second.
